Ilir Bejtja
Mr Bejtja is the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania covering the sector of energy and industry. He works in this institution and covering energy and industry issues since seven years now, by October 2013.
He has had an important contribution especially in the reform of the Power sector in Albania, leading and managing the entire reforming program, starting by legal framework improvement and harmonization with EU legislation and continuing with the implementation process of the action and measures’ plan for this reform.
Mr Bejtja is an economist, graduated in Economy for Industry at the University of Tirana, Economic Faculty on 1988. He has committed master studies at CoDe Joint European Master in Comparative Developments at the University of Trento, Italy, under the grade of Master of Arts. He completed his PhD in Marketing Sciences at the University “Aleksander Moisiu” of Durres, Albania on 2013.
During his professional and academic career Mr Bejtja has participated and completed different trainings programs in professional and educational institutions in EU and home.
On 2009 he was elected member of the Albanian Parliament representing Socialist Party of Albanian in the Region of Elbasan.
Mr Bejtja has been lecturing at the University of Elbasan “Aleksander Xhuvani” since 1998 in Marketing subjects and EU Economic Politics.
Until 2009 Mr Bejtja, except for teaching, has been Marketing Management and Project Design specialist at “The Right Choice - Consultancy in Law and Economy” in Elbasan (2008-2009), CEO of M.E.R.I - Market and Economic Research Institute” in Elbasan (2006- 2007), Head of Supervisory Board of FC Elbasani (2003-2014) and Member of European Club Association in UEFA - Member of Marketing Working Group (2006-2009), Project Coordinator in Co-Plan Tirana - Institute for Habitat Development (2004-2006), Regional Manager and Project Coordinator at Urban Research Institute, Tirana (2003-2006), CEO of “Pioneri” Ltd Elbasan (1994-1998), Customs of Elbasan, Head of Controll Office (1991- 1994).
He speaks fluently English, Italian and Macedonian, as well as speaks basic Spanish, German and Serbian.
