Gavril Lasku
Gavril Lasku is currently the Executive Director of Italian-Albanian SME Development program in the Ministry of Finance and Economy which provides financial support for Small and Medium sized Enterprises in Albania through credit lines, guarantee fund, and its relevant technical assistance.
He has more than 25 years of work experience in the public sector and socio-economic development activities with government institutions and donor programs in Albania through USAID, EU, GIZ, OECD, ETF etc. His private sector experience includes development policy, privatization, enterprise restructuring, business competitiveness and innovation, corporate governance and Entrepreneurial Learning. The combination of these experiences has made him a key facilitator of meetings between government officials, investors, entrepreneurs, and donor representatives.
As Director of SME Agencies and business development programs he has worked on “Company Growth and Competitiveness” component of Business and Investment Strategy of the government of Albania for many years. In this context he has been for 7 (seven) years the National Coordinator of EU Charter of SME-s and Small Business Act in Albania.
He has also been for many years an international expert of European Training Foundation and other International organizations in the areas of Entrepreneurship Education, Business Innovation and Competitiveness. He has worked in ETF as a specialist in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise skills and has conducted various human capital development activities in South East European region. South Mediterranean Countries, and eastern partnership region (Moldova, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia) in the period 2012-2015. He accounts also a wide range of business consulting activities for many private companies in various sectors and industries.
He has been for many years a Board Member of the South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, which is located in Zagreb Croatia. He has coordinated the experts of eight Countries (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey) working on the Entrepreneurial University Model for the SEE region. He has cooperated with American University of Cairo during 2009 for assessing the ETF Indicator application in Higher Education Institutions in Egypt.
He has lectured for more than 15 years in University of Tirana and European University of Tirana in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Business Management and Strategy.
