
Chronis Akritidis
Chronis Akritidis was born and raised in Ptolemais (Northern Greece) and studied Rural and Surveying Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. Until recently, he was active in the private sector as director of a Greek research company.
For many years, he has participated as project manager in a number of studies of Motorway Road Projects in Greece (Ionia Odos, Egnatia Odos, Provision of specialized traffic consultant services on highway concessions etc.), but also in Cyprus (Motorway Lemesos - Saita). In addition, he worked as Study Coordinator for the reconstruction of the Center of Athens, focused on Panepistimiou Avenue (Rethink Athens).
He was Deputy Mayor and Vice-Mayor of Athens [Municipalities of D. Bakoyannis (Olympic Games 2004) and N. Kaklamanis] and coordinator of all the projects (Olympic and non-Olympic) of the Municipality of Athens]. During his service, he managed a variety of municipal projects and gained significant experience in organizing and monitoring NSRF programs and co-financed programs of the 3 rd CSF project.
He served as First Vice-President and General Secretary of the Technical Chamber of Greece, President of the Panhellenic Association of Agronomists - Engineering Surveyors and Chairman of the Committee of Urban Mobility of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (2007) with primary responsibility for drafting the national position on & "New Culture for Urban Mobility" of the EU.
Chronis Akritidis is now President of the Board of Directors of Ergose SA.
He is responsible for coordinating the strategic plan and program for services provided by the company abroad (company extroversion).
